Kindle Covers and Cases

It’s nice to seem some great new Kindle 3 covers emerging.  Of course with detailed design it takes a little while for some manufacturers to catch up with a change in spec.  But better late than never, and certainly better that the new Tuff Luv Apocalypse Kindle 3 Covers are up to the standard we have come to expect from i-Nique.

The latest addition to the well-loved Tuff Luv range is I have to say far more stylish than its Kindle 2 incarnation.  The embossed detailing on the front of the cover is a little more pleasing.  This is not a leather Kindle cover though, it is artificial PU leather.  Now that will put off some consumers who want a genuine leather product, but appeal to those that prefer to be friendlier to cows!  Personally I do tend to be a little wary of fake leathers.  But safe in the knowledge that Tuff Luv cases are still hand made weather in the genuine article or not, and knowing how well their previous veggie leather products have been received I see no reason to ignore this great new Kindle cover.

The Apocalypse series is a far more traditional offering than their Multi-View version.  This is a simple book style jacket with a whole lot of padded protection and a built in stand at the back.  If you take your Kindle out and about regularly knowing the screen has so much added protection is a real bonus.  The one important thing to note though is that all that protection comes at a little cost – added weight.  Fine for some, but more of an issue for others so it is really worth considering how you actually use your new Reader.

It’s good to see Tuff Luv have kept the improved secure flap at the top of the cover (they added it to the older version after customer feedback).  So whilst it is quick and easy to slide your reader into its new Kindle case, you know it will stay there too with a little security detail.

All in all, for the money and the peace of mind, Tuff Luv Kindle 3 Covers cannot be beaten but only if you want all that protection and will use the stand.
