Kindle Covers and Cases

Another great Kindle 3 Cover from M-Edge.  The covers keep getting better and far more fun for the latest Kindle on the block.  M-Edge Kindle covers are always popular but what does their latest sleeve offer for a little under $30?

Well this is another easy to clean, difficult to damage neoprene Kindle sleeve.  The inside is fleece lined forming a soft cushion around your device and offering a good degree of scratch protection.  The exterior comes in range of colors though finding all of them in stock is proving difficult on the products initial release.  I guess they will catch up with demand soon though.  Like all manufacturers of gadget covers M-Edge have fallen foul of the surprise launch of the newer smaller device from Amazon.  But they were pretty fast at bringing this latest sleeve to market.

A double zipper means the sleeve is extremely secure and also gives you the option to open it up just enough to insert the charger and so your Kindle can be charged without leaving its case.  A large zippered pocket gives you the option to carry Kindle peripherals such as the charger with you.  Though I have to say the general consensus is that this does make the case a little more awkward to carry.  But with battery life of up to a month I guess not many Kindle owners are carrying their charger around every day anyway.

Along the long edge is a secure handle so you can carry the eBook Reader in its sleeve comfortably if you are not popping it into a back-pack too.  Not something I think I would use very often but a nice option to have.

This is a sleeve for those that like the feel of reading their Kindle 3 naked.  There isn’t a lot of extra room inside so if you have even a very lightweight jacket the chances are your device isn’t going to fit inside this sleeve with that on too.  But since the whole point of the latest Amazon Reader is that it is tiny, comfortable and lightweight there are likely to be a lot of people that don’t want any interference from a jacket style cover.  For them this is ideal.

There is additional core material that should prove adequate at coping with knocks, keeping your Kindle 3 safe when not in use.

Overall, for good design, practicality and a bit of fun with all the color options the M-Edge Kindle Touring Sleeve is a winner in our book.  Personally I find them a little more attractive than the M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket but it depends whether you want a sleeve or a real Kindle cover I guess!
